Due to the increasing demand for canning at Brew Detroit, they have recently added the option to fill 19.2 ounce slim cans in addition to their existing 12- and 16-ounce can options. This gives customers the option for larger single-serve cans in C-stores and in sports/entertainment parks and venues. In addition to their can X-ray equipment, they are currently installing case-weighing equipment to assist in verifying that can cartons are complete and that can fill-levels are accurate.
Brew Detroit is building on its packaging options for the existing canning line as well. Supplementing the existing carton wrap equipment for 4-packs through 24-pack cartons, they have ordered a new wave-grip equipment line for multi-packs as a secondary option for customers to package their cans. The wave-grip will package 4-, 6- and 8-packs for 12- and 16-ounce cans which will help customers keep their costs down in this ever-competing craft beer market.
Brew Detroit is located in Detroit, Michigan, in a 67,000-square-foot facility.
